COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Nedstack fuel cell technology B.V. (NFCT) develops, manufactures and commercializes PEM fuel cell solutions and components. Nedstack’s product portfolio is targeted at stationary and transport applications that require high reliability of a long life time. Nedstack was established in 1999 in Arnhem (The Netherlands) as a spin-off from the PEM fuel cell activities within the company AkzoNobel. Nedstack has developed PEM powerplant solutions for applications scaling from 100 kW to multi-MW. The longest running powerplant has been operating since 2007, showing the reliability of PEM fuel cell technology. Based on this experience, Nedstack is moving forward into the industrialization of PEM fuel cell products for heavy-duty stationary and transport applications.
ROLE & KEY CONTRIBUTION
Nedstack contributes to the project, using its experience in end-user applications. Real life data from heavy applications will be provided regarding fuel cell durability and operation in heavy duty applications. Furthermore, State-of-Art reference data for stacks as well as the material evaluation will be provided. This warrants that the material targets are well aligned with the application demands and that those improvements are directly verified in the relevant environment. The project will enable Nedstack to further understand and optimize durability and TCO of its customer applications.
